Drive Copy — Privacy Policy

Summary

Drive Copy ("Drive Copy," "we," "us," or "our") collects no personal data of its own. There are no accounts on our end, no advertising, and no tracking of you. We count page opens as plain totals — no cookie, no IP address, no identifier — purely to see how much it is used. Drive Copy has no backend server or database — after you sign in with Google, every action happens directly between your browser and Google's Drive API. We never see, receive, or store your files or their contents.

Who we are

This policy explains how Drive Copy, at apps.dollardigital.us/drive-copy/, published by Dollar Digital, LLC ("Dollar Digital"), a company organized in California, handles information. It supplements our website Privacy Policy, which covers the dollardigital.us site generally.

What Google Drive access we request, and why

Drive Copy asks you to sign in with Google and grants itself the broad drive scope — access to see, edit, create, and delete files in your Google Drive — rather than a narrower permission. That's more than most tools request, and we want to be upfront about exactly why: Drive Copy's whole purpose is copying files that someone else shared with you, and a narrower scope (like access limited to files the app itself creates) can't see files it didn't create. Reading a folder someone else shared with you requires this broader access.

In practice, Drive Copy only ever:

• Reads the folder or file you paste a link to, and its contents, to list what's there.
• Creates a new folder in your Drive and copies matching files into it.

It never reads, modifies, or deletes anything else in your Drive, and never uploads your files anywhere — every API call goes directly from your browser to Google's servers, using an access token that lives only in your browser's memory for that session.

What we don't do

We don't operate a server that touches your Drive data at all — Drive Copy is a static page that runs entirely client-side. We don't log, store, transmit to ourselves, or share your files, filenames, or folder contents with anyone. Nothing persists after you close the tab; signing in again starts a fresh session.

Revoking access

You can revoke Drive Copy's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page, in addition to the "Sign out" button in the app itself (which ends the local session but doesn't revoke the grant on Google's side).

Third parties

Drive Copy's only third-party dependency is the Google Drive API and Google's Sign-In service, both operated by Google. It contains no advertising libraries of any kind and no third-party analytics service — the page-open counts described above are our own.

Children's privacy

Drive Copy is suitable for all ages. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above when we do.
