IdeaAnywhere — Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 12, 2026
Summary
IdeaAnywhere ("IdeaAnywhere," "we," "us," or "our") stores your ideas in your own Google Drive, not on our servers. We have no database, no accounts of our own, no advertising, and no tracking of you. We count page opens as plain totals — no cookie, no IP address, no identifier — purely to see how much it is used. We cannot read what you write — the app is built so that your ideas never pass through any system we control.
Who we are
This policy explains how IdeaAnywhere, published by Dollar Digital, LLC ("Dollar Digital"), a company organized in California, handles information. It supplements our website Privacy Policy, which covers the dollardigital.us site.
Where your ideas are stored
When you connect your Google account, IdeaAnywhere creates a single
folder in your Drive called IdeaAnywhere. Inside it
are a file named IdeaAnywhere.json, holding every idea
and note you capture with the date and time you captured it, and an
Attachments folder holding any screenshots you
attach. Those files are yours. You can open, copy, search, export or
delete them in Google Drive like any other file, with or without this
app, and they remain after the app is gone. The store is ordinary
JSON, readable in any text editor.
Your ideas travel directly from your browser or device to Google's Drive API. They are never sent to a Dollar Digital server, because there isn't one in the path — we operate no backend for this app and hold no copy of your content.
What access we request, and what we can see
IdeaAnywhere requests a single Google permission, the
drive.file scope. It grants access only to files the
app itself creates. It does not allow us to list,
open, or search the rest of your Drive, and we do not request any
broader Drive permission.
IdeaAnywhere's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not transfer, sell, or use Google user data for advertising, and no human at Dollar Digital reads it.
You can revoke the app's access at any time at your Google account permissions page. Doing so stops any further syncing; the files already in your Drive stay yours and are unaffected.
Information stored on your device
So that capture works instantly and without a network, each idea is written to the device you're using first — your browser's local storage on the web, the app's own private storage on iPhone and Apple Watch — and synced to your Drive afterwards. Ideas captured while you're offline, or before you've connected a Google account, stay on that device until they can sync. Screenshots shared into the app wait on the device until they upload. The app also caches its own files so it can open and work offline. Clearing that storage, or deleting the app, removes anything not yet synced.
Third parties
IdeaAnywhere uses Google Identity Services for sign-in and Google's Drive API for storage — both acting on your own Google account. The Google Docs API is used only once, if you used an earlier version of this app, to import ideas from the document that version created. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles data on its end. The app contains no advertising libraries of any kind and no third-party analytics service — the page-open counts described above are our own — and sends your ideas to no other service. Nothing you capture is used to train any AI model.
Sharing
Nothing you capture is shared with anyone. Those files are private to your Google account unless you choose to share them yourself, in Google Drive, the same way you would any other file.
Children's privacy
IdeaAnywhere is suitable for all ages, though a Google account is needed to sync. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above when we do.
