Tiny Tweaks — Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 3, 2026
Summary
Tiny Tweaks collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. Every tweak runs as a local DOM/CSS change inside your own browser tab — Tiny Tweaks has no server component, so there's nowhere for any page data to be sent even if it wanted to.
Who we are
This policy explains how the Tiny Tweaks Chrome extension, published by Dollar Digital, LLC ("Dollar Digital," "we," "us," or "our"), a company organized in California, handles information. It supplements our website Privacy Policy, which covers the dollardigital.us site.
Information we collect
None. Tiny Tweaks collects no personal information, no usage data, and no diagnostic data. We receive nothing when you use the extension, because Tiny Tweaks has no backend to send anything to.
Information stored in your browser
Tiny Tweaks saves one thing: which per-site tweaks you've turned on or off. That's it — no page content, no browsing history, nothing else.
-
Your per-site on/off choices are saved using Chrome's built-in
storage.syncAPI. This is a standard part of the Chrome platform, not something we operate — it syncs across your own signed-in devices the same way your Chrome bookmarks or settings do, through Google's Chrome Sync infrastructure. - We have no server, no database, and no way to read, collect, or receive your settings, or anything from the pages a tweak runs on. There is nothing for us to see.
- Uninstalling the extension removes Tiny Tweaks' stored settings the same way it would for any other extension.
What each tweak does
Tiny Tweaks only requests access to the specific sites it tweaks — not to browsing in general:
- GitHub — colors each repository's visibility badge (green for private, red for public) directly on the page, so visibility is obvious at a glance.
- LinkedIn — hides the applicant-count stat on job postings, replacing it with a small "Applicant count hidden" label so it's clear the tweak ran.
Both run entirely as visual changes to the page already loaded in your browser. Nothing is read from the page and sent anywhere; the extension only looks at page text long enough to decide what to restyle or hide, and that decision never leaves your browser.
Permissions
Tiny Tweaks requests only the permissions each tweak needs, and nothing is used beyond what's described here:
- storage — to save your per-site on/off choices using Chrome's built-in
storage.sync, described above. - Site access to github.com and linkedin.com — to apply the two tweaks described above, on those sites only. Tiny Tweaks does not request access to any other site.
Third parties
Tiny Tweaks contains no third-party software development kits, advertising libraries, or analytics services. No information is shared with anyone, because none is collected.
Children's privacy
Tiny Tweaks is suitable for all ages and collects no information from anyone, including children under 13, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws.
