Zap Notes — Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 31, 2026
Summary
Zap Notes collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. Zap Notes has no server component: it has nowhere to send your notes even if it wanted to. Everything you write stays inside Chrome's own built-in storage, tied to your Chrome profile — we never see it.
Who we are
This policy explains how the Zap Notes Chrome extension, published by Dollar Digital, LLC ("Dollar Digital," "we," "us," or "our"), a company organized in California, handles information. It supplements our website Privacy Policy, which covers the dollardigital.us site.
Information we collect
None. Zap Notes collects no personal information, no usage data, and no diagnostic data. We receive nothing when you use the extension, because Zap Notes has no backend to send anything to.
Information stored in your browser
The text of every note you write is saved using Chrome's built-in
storage.sync API. This is a standard part of the
Chrome platform, not something we operate:
- Your notes stay within Chrome's storage for your profile. They sync across your own signed-in devices the same way your Chrome bookmarks or settings do — through Google's Chrome Sync infrastructure, not through anything we operate.
- We have no server, no database, and no way to read, collect, or receive your notes. There is nothing for us to see.
- Uninstalling the extension or turning off Chrome Sync removes Zap Notes' access to this data the same way it would for any other extension.
Permissions
Zap Notes requests two permissions, both required for the extension to function and neither used for anything beyond that:
- storage — to save your notes using Chrome's built-in
storage.sync, described above. - sidePanel — to display Zap Notes as a Chrome side panel instead of a popup.
Third parties
Zap Notes contains no third-party software development kits, advertising libraries, or analytics services. No information is shared with anyone, because none is collected.
Children's privacy
Zap Notes is suitable for all ages and collects no information from anyone, including children under 13, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above when we do.
